Open Source Tools

On March 17, 2025, we offered a workshop on open source tools.

Selected open source tools were presented, and the workshop was intended to serve as an introduction to the use of these tools. To this end, the principle of open source and, in this context, OER were first briefly introduced. This was followed by a brief introduction to one tool each from the areas of search engines, text editors and Markdown, image and video editing, animation, and H5P elements, after which the participants worked on tasks independently or in small groups. A list of additional tools from these areas (in addition to those selected by us) will be made available to you in an article and a presentation on our website.
