Institute of Geosciences - Sections
The Institute of Geosciences is composed of five sections. These sections introduce themselves in more detail on the following subpages.
Geochemistry/Petrology Section
The Geochemistry/Petrology Section comprises the working groups on structural geology, geochemistry, petrology and mineralogy/crystallography.
Geology Section
The Geology Section comprises the working groups on hydrogeology, sedimentology and environmental geology.
Geophysics Section
In the Geophysics Section, the working group researches and teaches on Geophysics/Applied Geophysics and Geodynamics.
Meteorology Section
The Meteorology Section comprises the working groups on Theoretical Meteorology, General Meteorology, Remote Sensing, Dynamics & Statistics and Climate Monitoring.
Palaeontology Section
The Paleontology Section includes the working groups on vertebrate and invertebrate paleontology, micropaleontology, and paleobotany.
