Expedition World Oceans and the Journey of CO₂: How does global warming affect our oceans? And what role does CO₂ play in this? Expedition World Oceans and the Journey of CO₂: How does global warming affect our oceans?

These questions were the focus of a workshop for children and parents at the Bundeskunsthalle on the first Sunday of this year. With the help of CO₂ sensors and experiments from the climate kit, we traced the path of CO₂ together and learned how it changes the pH value in the ocean and why this endangers coral reefs.

Afterwards, we talked about concrete ways to protect the climate and our oceans.
The workshop is part of the current exhibition “Expedition Weltmeere” (Expedition World Oceans), which is taking place at the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn. One of our CO₂ sensors can also be found there.
Many thanks to the Bundeskunsthalle for this great opportunity and to all participants for their interest and lively participation.
