I am an igneous petrologist and geochemist studying the evolution of magmatic and hydrothermal systems and their links to volcanic activity and ore formation. My research combines high-pressure and high-temperature laboratory experiments, field studies, and advanced microanalytical techniques to investigate fundamental processes from the upper mantle to the Earth’s crust. I am also passionate about developing new experimental and analytical methodologies to better simulate and quantify Earth processes.
Currently, my research focuses on the behavior of volatile components (particularly sulfur and halogens) and ore metals, exploring how their solubility, speciation, and partitioning evolve during crustal magma differentiation. I also study natural volcanoes and granitic plutons, using melt inclusions and mineral chemistry to reconstruct magma storage conditions, redox evolution, and elemental enrichment processes.
