Research interests:
- Functional morphology of early modifications in tribosphenic dentitions with qualitative and quantitative studies.
- Evolution and taxonomy of small mammals, especially rodents.
- Early mammalian evolution after the K/Pg extinction and the diversity of Paleogene mammals with emphasis of the Paleocene.
- X-ray microtomography (µCT) for digital segmentation and analysis of digital fossil specimens.
- Aspects of history of science, e.g. development of scientific knowledge regarding social framework in certain timeframes.
