Research interest and expertise:
- mammal evolution
- functional morphology of mammalian dentitions (especially insectivorous and carnivorous mammals)
- reciprocity between phenotypic adaptations and natural selection (evolutionary plasticity vs. constraint; convergent vs. divergent evolution)
- methods of virtual paleontology (computed x-ray tomography; reconstruction of 3D-Models; photogrammetry)
- SEM imaging
Projects:
01.04.2018 - present: | Dental functional morphology of carnivorous mammals (Carnivora, Dasyuromorphia, Creodonta) (PhD project) |
01.01.2017 - 29.09.2017 | Study of functional morphology in the dentitions of insectivorous australidelphians (Dasyuromorphia, Peramelemorphia, Notoryctemorphia) (M.Sc. thesis) |
