  • SFB 806 - Our Way to Europe: Culture-Environment Interaction and Human Mobility in the Late Quaternary
  • Subproject B3: “Environmental Response on Climate Impact in the Levant during the Last Glacial and Holocene and their Role in the Origin of Agriculture” (T. Litt)
  • Palaeobotany (especially the study of fossilized algae and microfossils like diatoms and radiolarians); reconstruction of palaeoenvironments and the palaeoclimate; Levant region and Israel
